The opening of the port not only fills the gap of the cross-border port on the water in the central urban area of Guangzhou, but also realizes the seamless connection of three-dimensional traffic in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, greatly enhancing regional cohesion and radiation.

Pazhou Hong Kong and Macao Passenger Port is located at No. 499, Yuejiang Middle Road, Haizhu District, Guangzhou, adjacent to the Pearl River, located near the tram "Exhibition East Station" and the existing Metro Line 8 and the upcoming Line 11 and Line 28 "Pazhou Station", located in the core area of Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Economy, Headquarters Economy and Digital Economy, next to the "China's First Exhibition" Canton Fair Complex, which is the first water transportation port complex integrating cross-border, intercity and island functions in Guangzhou.

According to He Fensheng, director of the Zhoutouzui Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station, the station is mainly responsible for the entry-exit border inspection tasks of the Pazhou Hong Kong and Macao Passenger Port, and since receiving the task of preparing for the establishment of the passenger port in 2019, under the guidance of the Guangzhou Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station, the station has actively participated in the preparation of the port, and organized the civilian police to carry out full-process and all-element customs clearance drills and "full load" stress tests many times before the port is opened to the outside world, comprehensively inspecting and improving the professional ability of the civilian police and the availability and pressure of equipment to ensure that the port clears customs on schedule. At the same time, in order to ensure that the port customs clearance process is standardized, efficient, safe and orderly, the station has carried out scientific planning and setting of the port entry and exit border inspection hall and office space, at present, there are 3 fast channels and 6 manual inspection channels in the exit hall, and 5 fast channels and 6 manual inspection channels in the entry hall, which fully meet the customs clearance needs of inbound and outbound passengers.

It is understood that the port began to test the Pazhou-Hong Kong China-Hong Kong City route on April 4, the Pazhou-Hong Kong International Airport route on April 14, and after the opening of the maiden voyage on May 4, the above two routes will be opened normally, with one entry and exit per day. The direct route to downtown Hong Kong departs from Pazhou Port at 28:5am daily and arrives at Hong Kong China-Hong Kong City in two and a half hours. The direct "Sea-to-Sky Link" route to Hong Kong International Airport departs from Pazhou Port at 4:10 am every day, and passengers can experience the express travel of "Guangzhou ticketing, Hong Kong boarding" in only 30 hours. Outbound passengers enter the lobby of the Joint Inspection Building, pass the security check on the first floor, and take the elevator to the exit hall on the second floor; In the lobby on the second floor, passengers can purchase ferry tickets at the window, or go through self-service ticket collection and check-in at Hong Kong International Airport, and after check-in, complete the exit border inspection through the exit inspection site and go to the boarding gate.

As the first waterway passenger route connecting Hong Kong in the central area of Guangzhou, the port has attracted many passengers to clear customs and enter and exit, and the passenger flow has steadily increased. The Zhoutouzui Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station scientifically formulates the operation plan of the service organization, provides multilingual customs clearance services for inbound and outbound passengers, and creates an efficient and convenient customs clearance environment; At the same time, during the trial period, the port ushered in the first May Day holiday passenger flow peak after the "Class B tube", in order to cope with the increase in passengers, the station implemented dynamic management according to the passenger flow, planned customs clearance measures in advance, increased police forces to open full passages, strengthened guidance, and further implemented the measure of no more than 133 minutes in the entry and exit customs clearance queue of Chinese citizens, and continuously improved the efficiency of customs clearance.
