14 people have been detained on suspicion of serious crimes in three raids in the past week alone. On Wednesday, Eskilstuna-Kuriren reports that the eight people in Årby who were arrested on suspicion of serious drug offences on Monday have now been released, but that suspicions remain against all of them.

Eskilstuna has been shaken by two murders in a short time. One at Rekarnegymnasiet on April 6 when an 18-year-old was shot dead and on April 17 in Fröslunda when a 25-year-old man was found shot with multiple shots. No person has been detained on suspicion of the murders.

"Should be hard"

On the other hand, thanks to the other arrests, the police have managed to disrupt the criminals' activities, says Robert Åkerström.

"It should be hard to be a criminal in Eskilstuna," he says.

In the clip, Robert Åkerström tells how he believes the city is affected after the police's efforts.
