In France, the party Les Républicains inaugurates this Tuesday evening, May 2, its own media. This is not uncommon for a political party - the Insoumis, for example, also have theirs - but the initiative is unprecedented among the LR. This is one of the cards shot down by Eric Ciotti, the boss of the recently elected party, who intends to restore the image of the Republican right in France. After difficult first months, marked by internal divisions over the pension reform, Eric Ciotti will try to make people forget his false start.

The boss of the right signs this Tuesday evening the first act of the refoundation supposed to allow his family to raise its head. A 100% digital media called "A certain idea", "without sectarianism or taboo", explains one of its founders. A website fed with interviews of about thirty minutes each, on all subjects, with rather right-wing personalities, but not necessarily labeled LR.

Objective for Eric Ciotti: "change the face of a structure that still functions as in the 1980s," admits a connoisseur of the mysteries of the party. Next step, the move of the headquarters of the rue de Vaugirard in the 15th arrondissement of Paris to a smaller, more central place. And less associated with defeat. Visits are currently under way.

The boss of the LR has also planned to bring up new figures, rather young, in the coming weeks, before organizing the Estates General next June to redefine the ideological base of the party. The 12 works of Eric Ciotti have begun, but the most difficult will perhaps be the designation of the party's candidate for the presidential election of 2027, while the name of Laurent Wauquiez is less and less unanimous on the right.
