Ukrainian President Zelensky reiterated his commitment to holding Russia accountable for the destruction of an apartment complex in a missile strike that killed 23 people, including children, saying, "Russia must take responsibility for everything it has done."

The Ukrainian government announced on the 29th that rescue operations at an apartment complex in central Umani, which was severely destroyed by a Russian missile attack, had ended and rescued 17 people from under the rubble, but 1 deaths were confirmed, including six children between the ages of 17 and 6.

Flowers were laid at the site to mourn the victims, and in Cherkash Oblast, where Umani is located, mourning will be held for three days.

In a video released on the evening of the 29th, Zelensky expressed his condolences to the victims and said, "The man who launched and guided the missile, the person who piloted the ship and aircraft for terrorism. Not only those who gave orders, but all of them are terrorists and murderers and need to be punished."

"Russia must take responsibility for all its actions," he said, reiterating his intention to establish an international tribunal to try Russia's war crimes and hold them accountable.

It has also announced that it is preparing new sanctions against foreign companies that supply supplies to support Russia's military invasion, and has taken a stance of increasing pressure.
