While the country is in full protest against the pension reform, excesses are to be feared everywhere in France. The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, announced a historic mobilization of the ministry with 12,000 police and gendarmes deployed on the territory, including 5,000 in Paris. The government's goal will be to "protect protesters and arrest troublemakers."
