In groups on social media, there is scathing criticism of Stortorget's appearance – a criticism that is confirmed when SVT Nyheter Blekinge goes out on the town and asks Karlskrona residents what they think of the square.
"It's big and grey. I also like cobblestones, but it would have been nice to have some trees," says Björn Sevig.
Jessica Kvarzell also thinks that Stortorget leaves a lot to be desired.
"It's very, very sad. I actually think the square is nice, but it should be highlighted in a different way.
But Karlskrona municipality believes that residents should be patient – the square is not clear. SVT has also met the city architect who tells us more about the plans for Stortorget.
