Alva Stark has taken Östersund Basket from Division 1 to one of the best teams in the women's league in three years. Her contract with the club expired this year, but now it is clear that she will continue.
– We were not the only club that wanted her, says Bosse Svensson, chairman of Östersund Basket to SVT Nyheter Jämtland.
A month ago, it became clear that Alva Stark will be the new national team coach in Denmark, but she will still continue in Östersund.
– The assignments can be combined, and we believe it is developing for Alva to be a national team coach, says Bosse Svensson.
In the new contract, Alva Stark becomes a full-time coach. In the past, she has combined her coaching job with being a teacher.
