Assault detachments of PMC "Wagner": the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of two quarters of Artyomovsk

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said that the assault detachments of the Wagner PMC took control of two quarters in Artyomovsk.

"In the Donetsk direction, the assault detachments of the Wagner PMC liberated two quarters in the northwestern and southeastern parts of Artyomovsk during offensive operations," the ministry said.

A day earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also reported taking control of two quarters of this city, located on the northern and southern outskirts.

The Ministry of Defense added that units of the airborne troops constrained the actions of the enemy on the flanks of the assault detachments.

Meanwhile, aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Yuzhnaya group of troops hit units of the 77th Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which were trying to counterattack the positions of Russian troops, as well as the 54th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the day, aviation made six sorties in the area. The missile forces and artillery of the group completed 43 fire missions.

In total, the enemy lost up to 145 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two tanks, an infantry fighting vehicle, two armored combat vehicles, three pickup trucks, two cars, an Msta-B howitzer, two D-20 howitzers, as well as a Uragan MLRS launcher in this direction.

At the same time, in the Yuzhno-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, air and artillery strikes of the Vostok group of troops hit units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Vuhledar and Novoselka (DPR). Along with this, the activities of the enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance group were suppressed.

During the day in these areas, the enemy lost over 45 Ukrainian servicemen, two cars, as well as a D-30 howitzer. In addition, a US-made AN / TPQ-37 counter-battery radar was destroyed in the Zaporozhye region.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy's losses amounted to over 30 Ukrainian soldiers, three vehicles, as well as one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer.

In the Kupyansk direction, artillery fire of the Zapadnaya group of forces hit units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of settlements located in the Lugansk People's Republic. In addition, in the territories of the LPR and the Kharkov region, the actions of three Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were suppressed.

During the day, up to 35 Ukrainian soldiers, two cars, as well as a D-20 howitzer were destroyed in these areas.

In turn, in the Krasnoliman direction, strikes by assault and army aviation, as well as artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of the Center group of forces, hit units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of settlements of the LPR and DPR.

In total, the enemy lost up to 80 Ukrainian soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, two vehicles, as well as a D-30 howitzer and three ammunition depots in this direction.

Aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces defeated 92 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in firing positions, manpower and equipment in 127 districts.

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, on the territory of the DPR and the Zaporozhye region, the command posts of the 125th and 102nd territorial defense brigades were hit.

In turn, air defense systems intercepted ten rockets of HIMARS and Smerch multiple launch rocket systems, as well as three HARM anti-radar missiles during the day. Along with this, four Ukrainian drones were destroyed.
