It takes significantly longer to sell homes today compared to a year ago. In March, an average villa advertisement in Gothenburg was published for 22 days on Hemnet, compared with 16 days during the same period last year. The average time for the kingdom has gone from 17 to 30 days.
"We have seen a clear shift in more and more people choosing to sell their home before buying a new one. This is a wise precautionary measure, but it also affects the sluggishness of the market," says Erik Holmberg.
In March, a housing advertisement for an apartment in Gothenburg was published on average on Hemnet for 19 days, compared with 14 days a year ago.
