The opposition claims to have detected serious shortcomings, incidents and irregularities which, it says, "no longer reassure" for the holding of peaceful elections in the DRC. The Lamuka coalition led by Marin Fayulu calls as urgently as possible for a "meeting between stakeholders for corrective measures".

« Doubt »

For Jean-Félix Senga, representative of the coordination of electoral operations of Lamuka, interviewed by our correspondent in the DRC, Pascal Mulegwa, "Mr. Denis Kadima (the president of the CENI, Editor's note) creates a doubt in the minds of the Congolese when he claims to have allocated the fund planned for the election in the operation of identification and registration of voters and not to have received the money from the government since October 2022.

« Nothing reassures »

«

The Coel reiterates to the CENI its demands: to give the overall cost of the electoral process in progress; in view of what the CENI has achieved since its installation, nothing reassures that it is able to organize transparent, impartial and peaceful elections in the DRC. We demand as urgently as possible a meeting between stakeholders to evaluate the work done and decide consensually on corrective measures. We demand the presence of observers from the African Union, those of the European Union and those of the United States of America to ensure the neutrality or not of the CENI, "concludes Jean-Félix Senga.
