Before the berthing of the "Xuelong" and "Xuelong 2" ships, the police of the Waigaoqiao border inspection station arrived at the base wharf and began to prepare for the entry inspection such as sorting out personnel information and planning inspection channels. After the ship berthed, the border inspection police boarded the ship as soon as possible, set up a pre-inspection point on the ship, and safely and quickly completed the entry border inspection procedures for nearly 2 members of the scientific expedition team and more than 200 crew members of the "Xuelong 70".

"We made an online forecast through the 'single window' a day in advance, and with just a finger, we completed the pre-inspection procedures for border clearance at one time. The border inspection authorities set up inspection points on the 'Xuelong' and 'Xuelong 2', saving the trouble of scientific expedition members, crew and our agents running back and forth between the dock and the window, and the customs clearance procedures have changed from the original 'switchback run' to the current 'acceleration run', which greatly saves customs clearance time. Wen Shuang, the ship's agent, introduced to reporters.

Su Xiaochun, deputy captain of the first team on duty at the Waigaoqiao Border Inspection Station, said: "We have implemented the measures of the National Immigration Administration to facilitate customs clearance, continued to deepen the reform and innovation of customs clearance facilitation such as border inspection policies and measures, inspection modes, and service measures, and implemented convenient measures such as 'online office, appointment office, and forward office', and promoted the upgrading of port services."
