Changsha, 4 Apr (Reporter Cheng Long) -- On the morning of 1 April, Mr. Ma Yingjeou and his family went to Shuangyang Village, Cha'en Temple Town, Xiangtan County, Hunan Province, to pay homage to his grandfather Ma Li'an in front of Ma Jiazu's tomb, expressing his intention of pursuing the long term with caution. On the way back to his hometown, he met the local people greeting "Welcome home", Ma Yingjeou responded in Hunan dialect: "Xiangtan Boy is back!" ”

Ma Ying-jeou, who returned to his ancestral homeland for the first time, choked up several times when he read the ancestral texts and was interviewed, wiping tears from time to time. "Years of wishes come true!" Ma Ying-jeou said emotionally that he had never met his grandfather, but he had always wanted to worship his ancestors. When I saw my grandfather's tomb today, I was very moved. "Prudence pursues the long term, and the people's morality is magnanimous." This is a very important part of our moral education in Chinese. ”

Majiazu's tomb is nestled between a flat rice field surrounded by rolling hills, guarded by two cypresses. Not far away, the Xiang River flows endlessly. It is understood that the cemetery was built in 1928, after nearly a hundred years of ups and downs, the overall shape and style are well preserved. Buried here is Mr. Ma Ying-jeou's grandfather, Ma Li'an, and the tombstone is inscribed in the center: "The Tomb of the Elder of Hsien Khao Ma Gong Daji".

At about 10 a.m., Ma Ying-jeou and his family arrived at Shuangyang Village and immediately followed the field path to the ancestral tomb. Ma Ying-jeou walked to the tomb, touched the perimeter of the tomb, and gazed at the tombstone affectionately.

The ancestor worship ceremony began, and Ma Ying-jeou, three older sisters, a younger sister and other family members stood solemnly in front of the tomb. The ceremony follows the local custom passed down from generation to generation, and after the cannon is fired, Ma Ying-jeou and his family perform a three-way incense ceremony. After Ma Yingjeou presented flowers and fruits, he read the ancestral worship text in Hunan dialect.

Ma Ying-jeou said in the article on ancestor worship: "Dear father-in-law, this is the first time in my life to come to the mainland to worship ancestors and visit relatives, and I am very moved in my heart. Your legacy has taught our children to love and be self-reliant, to be helpful and to do their duty. This is our most precious asset in life, inexhaustible. ”

After Ma Ying-jeou offered wine, he and his family bowed three times to the ancestral tomb. After the cannon was fired again, the ceremony was completed.

When parting, Ma Ying-jeou walked to the tombstone again, leaned over to look at the inscription, and took photos with his family.

Bidding farewell to the ancestral tomb, Ma Ying-jeou and his family went to Yidu in front of the temple gate located in Tankou Village, Baishi Town. Yidu in front of the temple gate was built during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, but was stagnant due to financial reasons. In 1910, Ma Ying-jeou's grandfather Ma Li'an and other local villagers raised funds to continue the construction, and after the completion of the ferry terminal, free ferry to the business travelers, benefiting one party.
