"If the Europeans at some point abandon the anti-Russian course and make a choice in favor of a mutually respectful dialogue with Russia, we will consider their proposals and make decisions based on our national interests, as they are approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin in the new Concept of Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation," he said in an interview with the Argumenty i Fakty website.
Lavrov added that the European Union has lost Russia and is to blame for this.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the updated version of the Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation introduces the thesis on the use of the Russian army to repel or prevent an attack on Russia or its allies.
