On April 4, Chinese officers and soldiers participating in the "Golden Dragon-2" joint exercise between China and Cambodia walked into local schools and health centers with learning and medical supplies to carry out humanitarian assistance activities.

Early in the morning, Soshan Chay Primary School in Kampong Chiang province, Cambodia, became a sea of joy. Students gathered around Principal Xie Shina to hear his story about China. "Hello! Thank you! While carefully studying some simple Chinese, the children looked forward to the arrival of the VIPs, with happy smiles on their faces.

“A gun! Thank you! "When student Ruo Tennan received a brand-new school bag and stationery from the Chinese officers and soldiers, he happily clasped his hands together and thanked him in Khmer and Chinese." China is a friendly country, I want to study Chinese and hope to study in China in the future. Speaking of his ideals, Ruo Tennan showed a shy smile.

During the event, the Chinese team donated school bags, workbooks, maza, stationery and sports equipment and other materials to 181 students of Soshan Chay Primary School, with a total value of 10,<> yuan. Principal Xie Shina told this writer that the friendly actions of Chinese soldiers will definitely sow seeds of love in the hearts of children, hoping that they will grow up to become friendly messengers of Cambodia and China.

At the United Meanchey Township Health Center in Kampong Thanh Yang Province, the banner "China-Cambodia Traditional Friendship Endures - Medicinal Materials Donation and Free Clinic Activity" is very eye-catching, and local villagers come to see the doctor. At the free clinic, internal medicine consultation rooms, surgical consultation rooms, pharmacies and examination rooms have been set up, covering more than 10 specialties such as nephrology, cardiovascular medicine, gastroenterology, and orthopedics.

In one morning, the Chinese medical team provided local villagers with disease diagnosis and treatment and health services through medical delivery, disease prevention, and health examination, receiving a total of 142 people, distributing 486 boxes (sticks) of medicines, and donating a batch of medicinal materials worth 10,<> yuan to the Cambodian side.

"The officers and soldiers participating in the exercise brought much-needed study and daily necessities to our local students and villagers, solved everyone's practical difficulties, and demonstrated our deep friendship with the Cambodian people, for which we are deeply grateful." Brigadier General Tong Fule, the head of the Cambodian team, said.

Carrying out humanitarian assistance activities is an important part of the China-Cambodia joint exercise. Subsequently, the officers and soldiers of the two sides will also organize a series of cultural exchange activities such as football matches, tug-of-war and galas, so as to further promote the cultural integration of the two sides, consolidate the "iron" relations between China and Cambodia, and enhance the friendship between the two countries.
