• War The year in which NATO came out of the 'coma', grew and recovered its essence

Russian troops have acknowledged difficulties in completely taking the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut, in the eastern region of Donetsk, in the face of high human costs and recent criticism of the shortage of ammunition, which has led the Russian military command on Saturday to promise more supplies to the front.

"The volume of supply of the most demanded ammunition has been determined. The necessary measures are being taken to increase it," Defense Minister General Sergei Shoigu said Saturday at a meeting with the command of the group of troops fighting in Ukraine.

Defense not only works on "further increasing the supply of ammunition" to troops, but also on "improving the efficiency of logistics to provide forces with everything they need." Shoigu said the production of conventional and high-precision weapons by Russia's defense industry "has multiplied."

Russia's presidency at the UN is a "slap in the face" to diplomacy

Russia's presidency of the U.N. Security Council for April is "a slap in the face" for the international community, Ukraine said Saturday, joining other angry voices among Western countries.

"Russia's presidency of the United Nations Security Council is a slap in the face of the international community," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Twitter.

The last time Moscow chaired the council was in February 2022, the same month its troops invaded Ukraine, kicking off a war that continues to this day.

The Wagner Group complains about the lack of ammunition

The head of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has repeatedly accused the Defense Ministry command of not supplying enough ammunition to its mercenaries in Donbas, where Bakhmut is the epicenter of all fighting in this direction.

The Russian troops are a few blocks from the heart of the city, but despite the marginal advances, they are choked by the complete capture of the city, for which they have been fighting for nine months.

A new video posted on Friday by the mercenaries on their Telegram channel and whose images have been geolocated show the flag of the Wagner Group waving in a building in the center of Bajmut, about 400 meters from the administrative building.
