After one of two turbines has been tested, start-up work is now underway on the other. If all goes well, that turbine will also start working at full speed on Saturday night.

After that, it is estimated that it will take about 80 hours before the plant is fully operational.

Decommissioned since August

Ringhals 4 has been out of service since late August last year.

The restart has been postponed several times due to the fact that the repair of the damaged pressure tank has been more complicated than expected.

The shutdown has meant a setback in the sometimes strained Swedish electricity production.
