24 hours before Yolanda Díaz announces her candidacy for the general elections in an act in which Podemos will be left out of the photo of unity of the alternative left to the PSOE, the general secretary of the purple party, Ione Belarra, redoubles the pressure on the vice president. "Yolanda Díaz has in her hand that tomorrow Podemos will be in the act of presentation. It is enough that this afternoon Podemos and Sumar sign a declaration in which we commit ourselves to hold primaries open to all citizens to choose the best possible team for the next legislature. " In other words, the electoral lists.

This was pointed out in his speech before the State Citizen Council, the highest body between congresses, in a meeting surrounded by great expectation due to the disagreement between Podemos and Díaz, on the eve of the great political act of the vice president of the Government. Irene Montero and Isa Serra have not been absent from this conclave due to a trip to Mexico.

Belarra has warned Díaz that "applying the democratic principle, asking people is what always makes the most profound transformations possible." And he has counterposed that "without primaries, the militancy of the PSOE would never have won the game to the apparatus" and Pedro Sánchez "would not have returned to be secretary general of the PSOE".

Questioning her personally, Belarra has asked Díaz "that we close that agreement now." In addition, he has demanded that he start campaigning "together" and "travel around Spain supporting the regional and municipal candidates of Unidas Podemos". Something that Podemos is aware that it does not want to do where there are candidacies of potential partners of Sumar such as the Community of Madrid (Más Madrid), the Valencian Community (Compromís) or the Canary Islands (Drago Project).

As for the rest of the leaders of Podemos, the message they have repeated at the entrance of the State Citizen Council is that "unity" is in the hands of Díaz. That 24 hours after the act of Sumar, the attendance of the purple party depends on her.

Pablo Fernández, national co-spokesman and regional coordinator of Castilla y León, has pointed out that the "key to unity is held by Yolanda" and has said that there is still time for her to accept the proposal to hold open "primaries" and prevent the confluence process from becoming "a negotiation between offices".

Javier Sánchez Serna, also co-spokesperson and regional leader in Murcia, has remarked that "whoever leads has to explain how he wants to build unity." In this sense, he has indicated that the will of Podemos is to reach "a coalition agreement with Sumar" but that they need that certainty of knowing how the vice president wants to act.

As for the presence of other members of Podemos in the act of Sumar, Sánchez Serna has dispatched that the "majority" of the party "is for the open primaries", thus minimizing the demarcations of positions and leaders, among deputies, MEPs, regional leaders or, even, the candidate for the elections of Asturias.
