Along with this, during the meeting, issues of further increasing the supply of ammunition to groups of Russian troops were discussed, including from the point of view of improving the efficiency of the logistics system.

It should be noted that on March 28, Shoigu, during a working trip to the Chelyabinsk and Kirov regions, checked the progress of the implementation of the state defense order by the enterprises of the military-industrial complex.

In particular, the Minister inspected the production facilities of enterprises directly involved in the production of military products to meet the needs of the SVO.

Along with this, Shoigu checked the operation of automated production lines for artillery, tank, mortar shells of various calibers and unguided aircraft missiles, as well as areas for quality control of products.

In turn, the heads of enterprises reported to the minister that the production of ammunition to meet the needs of Russian troops has increased several times. It is expected that by the end of this year, the production of individual samples of products will increase by seven to eight times.

As a result of his work at the enterprises of the defense industry, Shoigu held working meetings, during which the military leadership set tasks for further increasing production in accordance with the schedules for the implementation of the defense order.

On March 31, a meeting of the Coordination Council for Meeting the Needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was held. In his opening remarks at the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who also holds the post of head of the council, noted that at present the needs of the Russian military have increased significantly.

According to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, for the guaranteed supply of the military with everything necessary, the factory capacities of the country's defense industry organizations are maximally involved. In addition, investment projects for the development of production are being implemented at an accelerated pace.

Measures have also been taken that allow today to multiply the production of the most popular types of weapons. Mishustin also noted that special attention should be paid to the expansion of the repair base.

"The restoration of certain types of equipment is a complex, time-consuming process to which it is necessary to attract qualified specialists, for which it was decided to form a plant within the Ministry of Defense for the prompt repair of missile and artillery weapons in order to quickly return them to service," the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said.

It should be noted that later Mishustin signed a decree on the creation of the corresponding enterprise.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister also noted the importance of erecting fortifications on the line of deployment of troops. As the Prime Minister specified, most of them have already been built, but new strongholds are being built for the border service and the created ones are being re-equipped.
