The collection takes place at the service center in Tuna Park and runs until the fifth of April.

– This is the first year that we have this type of collection and we hope that this is the start of a new tradition, says Lisa Berton, partner manager at Eskilstuna City Mission.

Working with student health services

To reach the students who are in need of student and prom clothes, Stadsmissionen collaborates with the student health services at all upper secondary schools in Eskilstuna.

Lisa Berton says that the upper secondary schools testify that the student time is a particularly stressful period purely financially, for both the student and the family.

"You're expected to throw a student party, it's presents, it's dresses, it's hats and it's activities. You just don't make ends meet," Berton says.

See a little of what has been collected so far by the Eskilstuna residents and hear how the young people affected will get to choose their clothes.
