According to RIA Novosti, representatives of Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia addressed the European Commission with a corresponding appeal.

Politicians complained to the head of the EC on an unprecedented increase in imports from Ukraine of cereals, oilseeds, eggs, poultry, sugar, apple juice, etc.

According to them, due to the current situation, a number of EU countries had difficulties with the development of surplus grain in warehouses, which led to the destabilization of the market.

In their opinion, in order to cope with the situation, the EU should allocate money to them.

"Given the scale of the above phenomena, it is necessary to significantly increase the amount of financial resources allocated by the European Union for support. Additional funds are needed, because there are not enough funds from national budgets," the letter says.

Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki instructed the Country's Minister of Agriculture and Food Henryk Kowalczyk to limit the flow of grain from Ukraine to Poland.

On March 17, the European Parliament announced that the quality of grain from Ukraine does not meet European standards.
