Five days after the rally in Sainte-Soline to protest against the mega-basin project, two protesters injured during the violent clashes are still in a coma. For Sandrine Rousseau, deputy EELV of Paris, guest of Europe 1 Thursday, the police have shown violence "unacceptable".

On Saturday, the rally against the mega-basin project in Sainte-Soline in the Deux-Sèvres was punctuated by violent clashes between demonstrators opposed to water reservoirs and the police. Two people injured at the scene remain in a coma. The gendarmes are also accused of having hindered the arrival of the Samu. "The violence shown by the police is unacceptable," said Europe Ecology The Greens MP Sandrine Rousseau, guest of Europe Matin Thursday. "The strategy of maintaining order that is made, is made to support a policy that is illegitimate in the eyes of the French people," added the MP accusing Gérald Darmanin of not giving these orders. "I am for disobedience, but not for violence."
