The High Court of Justice of Catalonia has sentenced Laura Borràs to four and a half years in prison for awarding contracts to a friend. In the ruling, the court proposes that the former president of the Parliament receive a partial pardon of two years, which would not enter prison.

Borràs was tried accused of the crimes of prevarication and falsification of documents for 18 contracts awarded to her friend Isaías H.

The Prosecutor's Office had claimed for Borràs a sentence of six years in prison and 21 years of disqualification for prevarication and falsification of documents.
