The executive committee of the FFF must meet in the afternoon to formalize the arrival of Renard at the head of the Blues to replace Corinne Diacre, dismissed on March 9.

Renard (54), double winner of the African Cup of Nations at the head of Zambia (2012) and Ivory Coast (2015) but who has never managed a women's team, will have the mission to make the Blues shine at the next World Cup, organized from July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand, then at the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.

The first priority of Renard, who resigned Tuesday from his position as coach of Saudi Arabia, will be to bring calm and serenity within a group France weakened by the revolt of several executives (Wendie Renard, Kadidiatou Diani, Marie-Antoinette Katoto), who withdrew from the selection to protest against the management of Deacon, resulting in the dismissal of the coach.

Once his appointment is confirmed, Renard should disclose his first list on Friday for friendly matches against Colombia, on April 7 in Clermont-Ferrand, and Canada, the following 11 in Le Mans.
