"I cannot comment on the specific case, but in general I can say that we always handle the information we receive promptly to determine whether there are grounds for disposing of weapons," says Petra Johansson, group manager for weapons officers at the police in region south.

There are a large number of journal entries about the mental health of the accused man. At one point, it is also noted that he has access to weapons. But police were not made aware of that information. A preliminary investigation into misconduct in healthcare has now been initiated.
