"BFMTV strongly condemns the attack on its journalists and reaffirms its attachment to press freedom and the right to information," it said on its website.
The channel and the two journalists in question, Jérémie Paire and Baptiste Keita, will file a complaint, BFMTV then told AFP.
According to their account, published on the channel's website, they were attacked twice, first at Place de la République, then around Place de la Nation, receiving "kicks and punches".
According to journalists, "there was the desire to steal the camera".
The intervention of "a participant in the demonstration and (of) a few other people" finally allowed "their exfiltration" from the procession, they also reported.
