Global warming: up to 30 degrees in the Southwest

Spring is already well established for some. In the Southwest, temperatures are flirting with 30 degrees throughout the region. This bar could even be crossed in places in Haute-Garonne. The inhabitants take advantage of this episode of heat with a touch of guilt.

A boon for restaurateurs

In Saint-Gaudens, in the Haute-Garonne, temperatures reach 25 degrees this Wednesday noon. Place Jean-Jaurès is bathed in sunshine and temperatures of up to 28 degrees are expected this afternoon.

For restaurateurs, these temperatures are a real godsend. One of the establishments in the square has set up 120 covers on its terrace. "I take out all the tables that are inside. The good weather brings back people. People want to be on the terrace. This lunchtime, we are full, "says this restorer.

A worrying climate

Walkers are dressed in T-shirts, summer dresses but the most cautious still wear large coats. Isabelle enjoys this beautiful weather, but with a bad conscience. It remains very concerned about this unusual climate.

"This is very worrying. We go from cold to hot and then from hot to cold. We tan and finally the next day, we have to heat everything at home. It's very nice because you can go out. It's good for morale but the planet is telling us something, it's not going well anymore."

This summer weather will be short-lived. In Saint-Gaudens, temperatures are expected to reach seasonal normals, between five to eleven degrees, as early as Thursday.
