On Wednesday, the Court of Appeal convicted Linus Andersson from Torslanda and journalist Henrik Evertsson of violating the law on the protection of graves after the documentary about the Estonia wreck. The Court of Appeal thus followed the district court's line and believes that Swedish law is applicable in the case. The penalty was increased from the district court's 40-day fine to 80 day fines.

"Gut feeling says appeal"

Linus Andersson has not had time for more than a short conversation with his lawyer when SVT Nyheter Väst meets him, but he believes that they will probably appeal the verdict to the Supreme Court.

"It hasn't been tried before all the way and as a former naval officer, I think the law of the sea is an important issue," says Linus Andersson.
