• Surrogacy Ana Obregón, mother at 68 years of a baby born by surrogacy in the USA

Ana Obregón has been a mother at age 68 after resorting to surrogacy in the United States, but she has not been the first celebrity who has decided to become a mother or father through this method that consists of resorting to an external surrogate who delivers the baby after birth.

In 2007, when Baroness Thyssen had already been widowed, she resorted to surrogacy in the United States when she was 64 years old. As a result of a surrogate womb, her two twins were born: María del Carmen and Guadalupe Sabina.

A few years later, in April 2011, the singer Miguel Bosé also took the step. As he confirmed at the time through Facebook and Twitter, the artist fathered twins through a surrogate womb at age 55. He did it also in the United States. "I have been the father of two beautiful children who turned one month old yesterday. They are called Diego and Tadeo. We are already at home and in good health," he posted at the time. He followed in the footsteps of other singers such as Ricky Martin, who became a father through this method in 2008, also twins: Matteo and Valentino. In his case, he was 36 years old.

More recently, the television Kiko Hernández also announced that he had been the father of twin girls with 40 years through surrogacy: Abril and Jimena. The usual face of Sálvame carried out the process in California (United States), where she had to travel urgently after the delivery of the pregnant woman was advanced.

Hotel entrepreneur Kike Sarasola also had two children through surrogacy. In this case, she did not have them alone, but with her husband, Carlos Marrero. The first, Aitana, was born in 2012, and three years later they announced the arrival of their second child, at age 51. "We have been pregnant for four months," Sarasola announced to LOC, shortly before the arrival into the world of the little one through surrogacy, who was called Enrique, like his father, the popular businessman Enrique Sarasola.

The 'influencer' Tamara Gorro did the same with her partner, the soccer player Ezequiel Garay, in 2015. The couple went to surrogacy also in the United States (in Nevada, specifically) to have Shaila, their first daughter.

The journalist Jaime Cantizano is another of those who resorted to surrogacy. He did it in 2016, at the age of 42, when his son Leo was born. He did it alone, without a partner, as he announced to LOC at the time. "In the United States there are four million single men with children, from single-parent families," he explained.
