In 2011, The Rescue High School lost its national intake and thus a large part of the student base disappeared. Since then, Kramfors municipality has made two attempts to appease the National Agency for Education in order to get back the national intake, but has been met with a cold hand.

" Therefore, politicians have looked at this and said that we must change the design of the program so that we can get back the national intake, says Cecilia Borgh, operations manager at Kramfors municipality.

The municipality backed down

The education is therefore too expensive with too few students at present. On Friday, therefore, the staff was told that the intake to the rescue high school would be paused while they investigated what a new education needs to look like to get the Swedish National Agency for Education's approval. A message that upset both the staff and the students' parents.

"We have therefore listened to the employees' views and they were wise, so we will run another year, but the training will not continue if we cannot get approval from the Swedish National Agency for Education," says Cecilia Borgh.
