In total, 150 municipalities are affected by this because all have the same supplier of social alarms, according to the IT strategist. In Norrbotten, in addition to Piteå municipality, it also affects Kalix, Haparanda and Övertorneå.
"If it turns out that personal data has been leaked, it is serious and we are following developments closely. The company has informed us that we have likely been affected but we do not know for sure if this is the case or if so, the extent. We are awaiting further information from Careium, which is working intensively on the issue, says Klara Wallin.
The incident is handled according to established procedures.
