The pictures are published on the archive website.

They show the wreckage of the fuselage of the aircraft on which Gagarin and military pilot Vladimir Seryogin flew. The images are dated March 28, 1968.

The archive also published pictures of stands with newspapers, in which there were reports of the death of Gagarin and Seryogin. In addition, pictures from the funerals of Gagarin and Seryogin were made public.

On March 27, 1968, during a training flight, a MiG-15UTI aircraft, in which Gagarin and Seryogin were located, crashed. The disaster occurred near the village of Novoselovo, Kirzhachsky District, Vladimir Region.

The official cause of the tragedy has not yet been announced. The first cosmonaut of the planet was awarded many Soviet and international awards, was an honorary member of the International Academy of Astronautics and a Hero of the Soviet Union.
