The Kremlin considers justified the demand for compensation for the undermining of the "Nord Streams"

He told reporters about this.

"If we are talking about sabotage by one or more states, and so far the data indicate that such a large-scale act of sabotage, a terrorist act against critical infrastructure, could not have been committed without the participation of the state and special state services with all their potential, then, of course, this will be justified," the Kremlin spokesman said.

The head of the Department of Economic Cooperation of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Dmitry Birichevsky, said earlier that Russia could eventually raise the issue of compensation for damage from the explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipelines.

Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that he agrees with the conclusions of american journalist Seymour Hersh that US intelligence agencies are behind the attacks.

Hersh's investigation claims that Nord Streams were mined by divers from the United States: they operated under the cover of the BALTOPS 22 exercises, which took place in the Baltic Sea from June 5 to June 17, 2022.
