At the end of March, the reporter came to the factory seedling breeding base of Yulin Zhiwei Agricultural Co., Ltd., and looked at the 80 acres of seedlings in the green field. Zheng Zhiwei was covered in dirt all over his body and kept running around the base.

"This year's orders have increased a lot compared to last year, and the annual seedling cultivation volume is estimated at 4,5 to 2016,8 mu." Zheng Zhiwei said that his family opened a company in Dashan Village, Shanluo Town, Luchuan County in August 2017, and cultivated 2000,2018 mu in the spring of 6000, increased to 2022,3 mu in <>, and exceeded <>,<> mu in <>.
Zheng Zhiwei, 36, did not study agriculture at university, and went to Guangxi to engage in agricultural work, which is actually a "collective entrepreneurship" of Zheng Zhiwei's family. In 2012, the agricultural machinery department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region organized a delegation to visit Taiwan to understand the situation of local mechanized seedlings. After learning that Zheng Zhiwei's family had been engaged in mechanized seedling cultivation for nearly 40 years, the leader of the delegation warmly invited Zheng's family to set up a seedling breeding factory in Guangxi.

"My father first built a seedling factory in Hezhou, Guangxi, and later expanded to Yulin, Guangxi. My brother is in Yulin assisting my father in managing the seedling factory, and I am in Hezhou. Due to the rapid growth of Yulin's business, I also came to Yulin to develop. Zheng Zhiwei said.
Zheng Zhiwei said that when his family first came to Yulin to start a business, they also encountered many difficulties, and the rented paddy fields could not be connected, which caused great trouble for Yuling. After the expansion of the production scale of the factory, the rental of the site also encountered many difficulties. "The problems encountered were finally solved with the strong support of the local government and relevant departments." Zheng Zhiwei said.

Combined with the rice planting situation in Guangxi, Zheng Zhiwei's family has won the favor of more and more large rice farmers with high-quality seedling breeding technology and high-quality services. Now every year, new grain growers cooperate with the company, in addition to local customers in Yulin, there are also large grain growers from Nanning, Laibin, Beihai and Yangjiang, Lufeng and other places in Guangdong.
"My father went to Jiangxi in 2021 to open two other branches, and our seedling breeding technology has been promoted in the mainland." Zheng Zhiwei said that in addition to farmers, many inspection groups come to the company every year, and Zheng Zhiwei and his younger brother will enthusiastically teach them seedling cultivation techniques.
The smooth development of his career gave Zheng Zhiwei the idea of settling down in Yulin. He has bought a house in Yulin City, and after the New Year this year, his wife came to Yulin with three children, and Zheng Zhiwei ended his life of going back and forth between the two sides of the strait.

"When I first arrived, I was not used to eating and climate, and I couldn't understand the local Yulin dialect. Now I love life here. He likes to eat Guilin rice noodles and snail powder, as well as Yulin's local beef brisket powder, and occasionally goes to Yulin Street with his wife and children to eat local delicacies. Zheng Zhiwei said.
Zheng Zhiwei said that compared with Taiwan, Guangxi has greater opportunities for development in the agricultural field. Although similar seedling factories have appeared in Guigang and other places in Guangxi, Zheng Zhiwei's family has won more and more customers by relying on mature seedling technology.
"Seedling cultivation most requires technology and rich experience, we are very attentive from the beginning of soil selection, we will pull the soil used for seedling back to the factory half a year in advance, first dry, and then crush, every step is very careful care, not the sloppy." Otherwise, if there is a problem with the seedlings and the time of the farm, the farmers' harvest may be lost. Zheng Zhiwei said.
Zheng Zhiwei said that through years of practice and improvement, the company has changed the traditional irrigation method of seedlings, and the spray irrigation method they now use saves about 90% of water compared with the traditional irrigation method in the past.
In 2022, with the strong support of the local Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office and relevant departments, Yulin Zhiwei Agricultural Co., Ltd. successfully applied for the Guitai Agricultural Cooperation Demonstration Base and received a subsidy of 100 million yuan. At present, in addition to rice seedling cultivation and transplanting, the company also has rice drying, storage, rice processing and other businesses, and the company has further developed and expanded.
