It was the night of Friday that Lukas Rågvos caught the white fallow deer on video at the trade area in Oskarshamn.

"I thought it was an albino deer, I don't know," he tells SVT.

But white fallow deer are not as uncommon as one might think, according to the Hunters' Association.

"Fallow game is found in great colour variation and white individuals are not so unusual, although it is much more common with blacks," says Elias Turesson, hunting consultant at the Hunters' Association in Kronoberg and continues:

"White moose are much more unusual. Among fallow game, the color deviation is natural, but the public may not be as aware of it and therefore there is a bit of a stir," he said.
