The distance race on Sunday was a "Clear round" which means that it is between 40-50 kilometers long and is limited in time.

Race director Erica Svensson says that it is about riding loops out in the forest where the riders come back after half the ride. Then the contestants should get the horse's pulse down and present the horse to the veterinarian within 20 minutes. After that, they rest about 40 minutes, and then run the second half of the tour. When they have reached the finish line, the horse must be approved by vetrinary.

Vetrinary inspection

"The veterinary inspections are an important part of the sport. The horses are inspected before, during and after the competition. All horses must have passed all inspections to be approved in the competition. It does not help to ride too fast beyond the horse's ability and will first cross the finish line if you do not have an approved inspection, says Erica Svensson.

Several competitions will be arranged in the future, on June 17 there will be the Team Championship of 80 kilometers.
