According to Bennett, Israel is in the greatest danger since the Yom Kippur War, the 1973 Arab-Israeli conflict.

The former prime minister also called on protesters and other citizens to refrain from using violence.

Earlier, the organizers of the movement against judicial reform in Israel announced a week of large-scale protests throughout the country.

It was also reported that thousands of protesters against the judicial reform broke through the police cordon near the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem.

Israeli police used water cannons to push back the demonstrators who had broken through to the building.
