" The Moderates have now lost women in three elections in a row, in the last election almost all of the Moderates' electorate was women and we see a declining proportion in the membership.

The party's charter committee has put forward a proposal for new statutes that, according to the women's association's compilation, impose far-reaching restrictions on the union's influence within the party. Moderate women are proposed to be removed from nomination committees, as delegates to general meetings and from working committees at all levels.

Points out three areas

At the same time, the proportion of women who vote for the Moderates is falling. In the last election, the proportion of men who voted for the Moderates remained constant at 21 percent compared to the 2018 election, while the proportion of women fell from 19 to 17 percent.

Moderate women point out three areas that they believe must change in the party in order for women to be lured back - the factual politics, the harsh rhetoric and the approach to SD.

When it comes to the issues, the party must talk about health care, education and climate, says Josefin Malmqvist.

"These are issues that the Moderates have not talked about to a sufficient extent and in which the Moderates have too little confidence.

"Aggressive and harsh tone"

Another problem that the Moderate Women highlight is the party's harsh tonality. The party must talk less about tougher penalties and more about preventive measures, according to Malmqvist.

" Women stated that they perceive the Moderates' communication and tonality in the election campaign as aggressive and harsh, while men to a greater extent stated that it was factual.
