Why does the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind have such strong vitality and appeal? According to former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, this philosophy points to "the common ideal of mankind to create a happy life for all." Robert Lawrence Kuhn, president of the Kuhn Foundation in the United States, believes that this philosophy urges all countries to act for the common good, "in line with the needs of our turbulent times." Looking at the world, the development deficit casts a shadow over the world. According to a report released by the United Nations Development Programme, more than 90% of countries around the world are affected by multiple crises and face development difficulties. According to statistics, the number of hungry people in the world has increased by more than 1 million due to the impact of the new crown epidemic. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is concerned that multiple challenges jeopardize the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals as planned.
President Xi Jinping's global development initiative is to put development in a prominent position in the global macro policy framework, accelerate the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and build a global development community. “天下大同、协和万邦是中华民族自古以来对人类社会的美好憧憬，也是构建人类命运共同体理念蕴含的文化渊源。”2022年盛夏时节，习近平主席在给马耳他科斯皮夸市圣玛格丽特中学“中国角”师生的复信中指出。
构建人类命运共同体理念，积淀着中华民族最深沉的精神追求——
自古以来，中华文化就认为世界应是一个和谐整体：天人合一的宇宙观蕴含中华文明的生存理念；协和万邦的国际观是中华文明一贯的处世之道；和而不同的社会观是中国人遵循的行为准则；人心和善的道德观为中华民族生生不息、不断发展壮大提供重要精神力量。
习近平在《之江新语》一书中精辟指出：“我们的祖先曾创造了无与伦比的文化，而‘和合’文化正是这其中的精髓之一。‘和’指的是和谐、和平、中和等，‘合’指的是汇合、融合、联合等。”

2022年10月23日，人民大会堂金色大厅华灯璀璨，新一届中共中央政治局常委首次集体亮相，牵动着全球的目光。
习近平总书记庄严宣告：“我们将同各国人民一道，弘扬和平、发展、公平、正义、民主、自由的全人类共同价值，维护世界和平、促进世界发展，持续推动构建人类命运共同体。”
只要共行天下大道，各国就能够和睦相处、合作共赢，携手创造世界的美好未来。

回望历史，从梁启超在《新中国未来记》中渴盼“睡狮破浓梦，病国起沉疴”，到孙中山《建国方略》描绘中国现代化第一份蓝图，中华民族几代人夙愿深长。
斗转星移，潮落潮起。迎来从站起来、富起来到强起来的伟大飞跃，中国故事不仅深刻改写了旧有的东方叙事，也为人类探索现代化道路打开了崭新的思考视角。
