The company Lazarus Technology, in charge of carrying out the expertise of the telephone of Miguel Carcaño, convicted of the death of Marta del Castillo, has finished the study work of the device after two years, a study that offers "juicy information" on the movements of the murderer of the young woman the night of the event.

This has been indicated by the executive director of the company, Manuel Huertas, who has said that the report has been completed two years after the start of the procedures for it, and that "with all the prudence and waiting for the judge to see it", offers "valuable information so that, if so determined, can be used by the police."

The first procedures for this study began on March 25, 2021, when the judge investigating the whereabouts of Marta del Castillo's body consulted the Police if it was possible to clone the mobile phone of the confessed author of the murder, Miguel Carcaño, to determine where he was at the time of the events, on the night of January 24 to 25, 2009.

The investigation that can turn the case around

The judge of Instruction number 4 of Seville, Álvaro Martín, thus attended a new request from the parents of the victim after a specialist informed them that there is a new technique to reconstruct the geolocation of the terminal that would allow to know in detail the places where Carcaño was.

Lazarus, as Manuel Huertas recalled, delivered a first report of 500 pages to the court, and now he has concluded some work that will be delivered to the judicial authority before the end of this month of March, culminating the work of five people in a laboratory for almost two years in a row.

A report that, he detailed, "consists of several parts, but focuses on the analysis of mobile information", focusing on the locations of the device the night of the event above the messages or phone calls it sent or received, and now "it is the Police that can use the data contained in the study".

Marta's family requested this test within the framework of the separate piece opened to locate the body of the young woman, because it would be different from the one carried out in 2013, which was based on the information from the repeater antennas.

Lazarus Technology has had to work with a clone of Carcaño's mobile after never finding Marta's, made to the phone with current technology that allows to obtain information stored on a SIM card for decades, just by knowing the pin of the same or that it is unlocked.
