Beijing, 3 Mar (ZXS) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang met with Equatorial Guinean Foreign Minister Oyonor in Beijing on 23 March.

Qin Gang said that Mr. Foreign Minister is the first African foreign minister to officially visit China after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, which fully confirms the great importance that China attaches to China-Chile relations and the profound "iron" friendship between the two countries. We thank the Red Zealand for adhering to principles and supporting China's legitimate propositions on issues involving China's core interests and major concerns, and we will, as always, support the Red Zealand in independently exploring a development path suited to their national conditions, support the Red Zealand in safeguarding national sovereignty, and oppose interference by external forces in the internal affairs of the Red Guinea. We are willing to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, maintain high-level exchanges, strengthen pragmatic cooperation, deepen people-to-people exchanges, consolidate the foundation of public opinion between the two countries, and push bilateral relations to a new level.

Qin Gang said that the successful conclusion of China's National Two Sessions and President Xi Jinping's unanimous re-election is of great and far-reaching significance. China will maintain a high degree of continuity in domestic and foreign policies and inject certainty, stability and positive energy into a chaotic and intertwined world. China's resilient economy will achieve stronger growth this year and continue to make an important contribution to global recovery. China's comprehensive promotion of Chinese-style modernization, adherence to high-quality development, and expansion of high-level opening up will bring new development opportunities to Chiji. We are willing to strengthen the docking of development strategies between the two sides, deepen the exchange of experience in governance, and help Chiji enhance its independent development capabilities. We encourage Chinese-funded enterprises to invest in Chiji and welcome more Chiji specialty products to enter the Chinese market.

Oyono said that China is a true friend, brother and good partner of Chiji and Africa. I sincerely thank China for its valuable support for the diversified development of Chiji and the fight against the epidemic, and nothing can stop us from deepening friendship and cooperation with China. Chiji firmly adheres to the one-China principle and opposes interference in China's internal affairs under the pretext of human rights. We are highly consistent with China's philosophy and both stand for sovereign equality, independence and peaceful settlement of international disputes. China's success offers hope to developing countries. We highly appreciate and support President Xi Jinping's major initiative aimed at promoting world peace and security development, and support China's position paper on a political settlement of the Ukraine crisis.

Qin Gang stressed that China has always advocated mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation, and has always stood on the side of peaceful development, fairness and justice, and historical correctness. Following the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative, President Xi Jinping further put forward the Global Civilization Initiative, advocating that civilizational exchanges transcend civilization barriers, mutual learning among civilizations transcend civilizational conflicts, and civilization tolerance surpasses civilization superiority. We will continue to actively implement the outcomes of the Eighth Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, accelerate the promotion of the nine projects, and deeply align the Belt and Road Initiative and the Global Development Initiative with the African Union's Agenda 2063 and the development strategies of African countries, support Africa's economic recovery and sustainable development, and promote the construction of a China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era.
