Paris: centrist elected Nicolas Jeanneté indicted for drug trafficking

Nicolas Jeanneté, director of the New Centre - The Centrists party and adviser to the mayor of Paris, was indicted Friday for drug trafficking and consultation of child pornography images, learned AFP judicial source. He was brought before an investigating judge, who charged him with possessing, acquiring, transporting, offering or transferring narcotics and possessing, importing and habitually consulting child pornography images. He was placed under judicial supervision.

Suspicions of drug resale at "chemsex" parties

Le Parisien revealed in recent days the placement in custody Monday of Nicolas Jeanneté, 57, arrested by the police officers of the Narcotics Brigade (BS) on suspicion of resale, during "chemsex" parties, of narcotics bought on the Internet. Philippe Goujon, LR mayor of the 15th arrondissement, where this centrist leader is located, also said Monday to have withdrawn Nicolas Jeanneté his delegation to public tranquility, prevention and municipal police.
