So, the first law requires that companies - owners of social networks require users to confirm the age to create an account - minors will need parental consent.

Another law will prohibit social networks from using designs or features that cause dependence on the platform in minors. Otherwise, the companies that own the services face lawsuits.

Earlier, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the US administration considers TikTok as a threat to the national security of the country.

According to CNN, earlier more than half of the US states banned officials from using TikTok.
