For over ten years, Folkets Bio Göteborg has shown knattefilm for preschool children at Hagabion in central Gothenburg. According to Hagabon, it is almost exclusively preschools in the geographical vicinity of the cinema that come.

– We noticed that there were few preschools from Angered that came to us on Linnégatan, then we wanted to be in an area where we were needed most, says Birgitta Sollenberg.

The film screenings are financed with prize money

In 2019, Hagabion won a prize of SEK 15,000 for Sweden's best children's film cinema, an award that comes from Biografcentralen.

"When we were thinking about what we could have done with that money, we realized that this was the very best," says Birgitta Sollenberg.
