Côte d'Ivoire: suspended prison sentence for activists of Laurent Gbagbo's party

26 members of Laurent Gbagbo's party were arrested at the end of February and prosecuted for disturbing public order, then sentenced to two years in prison. On Wednesday, they all benefited from a stay of appeal and therefore left free. Except that in the eyes of Ivorian justice, they are still guilty.

The Ivorian government has rejected his accusations. He claims that he has not given any instructions to have anyone arrested and that he does not want to "interfere in court decisions".
