On the occasion of the ninth day of mobilization against the pension reform, the people of Strasbourg gathered to shout their anger against the government's project. All gained determination after the rejection of the motion of censure in the National Assembly, by only nine votes.

It is a ninth day of mobilization that took place rather calmly in Strasbourg, Alsace, this Thursday. While some bank windows were smashed, the demonstrators preferred to let their anger express itself through their voices. "I am enraged," says the microphone of Europe 1 Katia, admitting not knowing what she feels, as the resentment towards Emmanuel Macron is strong.

"For me, he is in provocation, in arrogance," said Jean-Marc, next to Katia. "He says he tried to negotiate with the unions, but that's not true. He must not forget that he was elected only because there was Marine Le Pen opposite," the protester added.

"We're going to meet in the street"

So, everyone still wants to believe that the government will back down on the subject of pension reform, facing the street. "We didn't think we were going to come so close to the adoption of the motion of censure," explains Léa. "Only nine votes were missing. Admittedly, we may have had frustration at the time, but now, we say to ourselves that "since the institutional tools have not worked, we will meet in the street", she continues.

And she was not the only one to have this reflection, since 12,400 people demonstrated in Strasbourg, according to the prefecture. A figure that climbs to 30,000 according to the unions, marking a record since the beginning of the mobilization.
