The two-year-old boy who was admitted in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Pediatrics of the Maternal and Child Hospital after falling last Monday in a pool in Estepona (Malaga) has died in the hospital center this Wednesday.

Hospital sources have reported that the child since he was admitted was in critical condition with symptoms of drowning.

The fall occurred, apparently, in an oversight of his parents after 13:00 p.m. last Monday and, although his health condition was worrying, he could be stabilized and taken to the hospital alive.

The Emergency Coordination Center 112 Andalusia was warned of what happened in the area of El Saladillo Benamara and that the child had been taken from the pool of a private home on Traiña Street, so the health services and the National and Local Police were alerted.
