Mårten Tenne, who also runs ICA Maxi in Nyköping, notices what customers think about the price increase.

"There are many customers who talk and comment on the price and there are many who choose goods that have a lower price. We are currently selling an awful lot of creatives, for example.

"Seeing some relief"

He believes in falling prices going forward.

"We see some relief during the spring, based on what the suppliers have flagged. However, I cannot say exactly when, how much or what goods are involved, but we see that the peak may have been reached and everyone in the trade hopes that so that we can get prices down again.

As early as Wednesday, the grocery chain Lidl announced that it was lowering prices for over 100 goods, and then additional grocery chains announced that they too expect a price decline.
