According to the expert, the fewer working days in a month, the more unprofitable it is to take a vacation, since the cost of one working day in such a month can be more than the payment for leave according to average earnings.

"However, if we compare May 2023 with the rest of the months of the year, the difference in working days (and hours) will not be very significant. For example, there are the same number of working days in May 2023 as in April 2023 (although there are no additional days off in April). But at the same time, if we compare, for example, May and June 2023, then the difference will already be (in June - 21 working days and 168 working hours). Therefore, using a vacation in May, you may lose a little in money, but this loss will be insignificant, "yuzhalin said.

The expert also recalled that in May, the salaries of employees who receive a salary should not be reduced due to additional days off.

"Their presence in May only means that the cost of one working day for an employee will be slightly higher compared to the rest of the months of the year, where there are more working days," the RT interlocutor concluded.
