He noted that the American side reacted very nervously to Russia's submission of a draft resolution to the UN Security Council with a request to the UN Secretary-General to organize an impartial, objective, transparent investigation of pipeline explosions.

According to him, the behavior of the United States resembles panic fear. Lavrov said U.S. officials began putting together with their allies a group of countries that they expect to vote against Russia's resolution.

In his opinion, Western countries with a difficult fright took the "first portion" of the investigation of journalist Seymour Hersh about the involvement of the United States in sabotage on pipelines.

"They found nothing better than first trying to ignore these materials, then call them nonsense and then invent some very awkward and clumsy version of some lone terrorists," Lavrov said.

He added that serious experts have smashed this version to smithereens, no one believes in it.

Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev called the United States the main beneficiary of the explosions at Nord Streams.
