The Association of Somali Academics is located in Gothenburg and Stockholm, among other places, and also started in Jönköping this summer. This March, an education fair was held for the first time where interested parties could meet role models to get inspiration for higher education.
– People from Somalia have extra difficulty getting into the labor market and with this we want to inspire and enable people to invest in a higher education, says chairman Ismail Abdullahi.

It was the first educational fair and the goal is to continue in the coming years.
"It will be a win both for themselves and for society if more Somalis get a higher education.
